Agile instruments : state of the art and trends [avr 2018]

In 2001, 17 experienced software developpers cosigned the Manifesto for Agile software development to praise human oriented labor above structure oriented labor.
Excerpts :
  • "individuals over processes ",
  • "face-to-face" conversation,
  • "self-organizing teams ".

To enact the Manifesto, a few enterprises have emerged to develop pioneering instruments : management frameworks, methods, design canvases, joyful collaborative tools [1] (marketed as " Agile games ").

Today, these instruments are the foundation of franchise type businesses.

In France, early this year, a study [2] on 26 French public operators and administrations found that the level of adoption of Agile instruments greatly varies.
For instance, The Scrum Guide, a framework co-published by Scrum.Org and ScrumInc, USA, was found popular and often stood for Agile method. Contrariwise the Delegation Poker, an Agile game edited by Happy Melly One, The Netherlands, was found to have little exposure as it is encapsulated into a set of management practices called "Management 3.0".

These Agile instruments, -written documents, stylish graphics, table games, software modules –, bear intellectual property rights (IPR) that challenge legacy IT sourcing practices.

The study discusses a five levels maturity model for Agile instruments sourcing.

Upon your venue to Paris, Tru Do-Khac, author, consultant and Agile game creator  will be pleased to share and discuss on the findings [3].
